STEP 4: Supports for the Use of the Braille Format

In this section, think about the supports that will be needed for a student who is using Braille. There will, of course, be differences depending the student's experience and skills with the Braille format, but even when the student is highly proficient it is likely that some supports will be needed. It is the team's responsibility to determine what those supports are and how to ensure that they are in place or arranged for so that the student can begin to use the materials in Braille at the same time as other students begin the use of their print-based materials.

So, let's talk about TECHNOLOGY, SERVICES (training, teaching, etc), STRATEGIES, ACCOMMODATONS AND MODIFICATIONS that might be needed for a student using Braille.
