STEP 4: Supports for Use of the Large Print Format

This message was posted by joy Zabala on Jul 27, 2009.

In this section, think about the supports that will be needed for a student who is using Large Print materials. There will, of course, be differences depending the student's experience and skills with print, but even when the student is highly proficient it is likely that some supports will be needed. It is the team's responsibility to determine what those supports are and how to ensure that they are in place or arranged for so that the student can begin to use the materials in Large Print at the same time as other students begin the use of their print-based materials.

So, let's talk about TECHNOLOGY, SERVICES (training, teaching, etc), STRATEGIES, ACCOMMODATONS AND MODIFICATIONS that might be needed for a student using Large Print.
