Website: aslpro.com
ASLPro.com is a website established by a group of deaf education teachers and interpreters in Texas. The site was designed to be an American Sign Language (ASL) resource for teachers and deaf education staff, to help with communication and curriculum needs in the classroom. Resources are free and donations are accepted. Only one section requires setting up a user account and password. The site features Video Dictionaries of signs, both in an ABC format as well as conversational signs. There are quizzes for signs and for fingerspelling. There is an online store where products can be purchased. Links to other online resources are included. Advertising helps to support the site but it is not intrusive to visitors. This is a great resource for teachers and interpreters. While there are warnings that this is not a stand-alone ASL curriculum and should be consulted under guidance of a deaf education professional, teachers, interpreters, parents, and students of sign will find this a very useful resource. The quizzes themselves are worth a visit to this website.
