Mi-Stories

Website: kencrest.org

Mi-Stories are training videos for iPod or DVD to be used with teens with autism spectrum disabilities to help teach positive and coping behaviors in what may be difficult environments. These include transition activities such as getting dressed, going out to eat, riding in a car, grocery shopping, and calming techniques. One of the modules addresses how to use the iPod, and another is for caregivers, showing how to use the training techniques. These may be useful for individuals who benefit from social stories, sensory diets and sensory stories.

Parts of modules may be previewed at the site. More modules are under development from KenCrest, which specializes in working with people across the lifespan with autism.
